~Update On My Husband~

The doctor called this morning about my husband. He didn't give him the blood test results yet, but he did say my husband is needing a colonoscopy done. My husband has to schedule that.
My husband is getting concerned I think, because he asked me earlier how I would make it if something happens to him. He asked where I would go and all of that. He said your going to have 5 kids to take care of-how will you do that by yourself?
I don't want to think about the worst right now. It's not healthy to get all scared when we don't know anything for sure yet. We will wait and see-then worry when the time comes.
I will update everyone once we get the blood test results and after he goes for this test...
Doctors are SO slow! Is it just here or do they take their time everywhere??

They can take their time here too...not that I've been to see a quack for 15 years or so

It is all very well to say not to jump to coclusions and not to worry. We have to wait long for our results.Every where it is the same..Hopefully the result will show it is only something that can be dealt with.My positive thoughts for you and your husband.

@silvermist Yeah, I don't want to get ahead of ourselves. Once we know something then we will figure things out. Thank you for the positive thoughts.

It would be hard to have that kind of conversation with your loved one. I am continuing to keep him in my prayers. Hope the doctors gives him some results soon. I can't even imagine how you are all feeling just waiting and not knowing.

@Happy2BeMe It was hard to hear him talking that way. Thank you for the prayers. I am worried and I hate waiting-I just wish we would hear something either way.

@LovingMyBabies yes regardless of the news you need to know so you can make some decisions. Waiting is stressful.

@LovingMyBabies I would say though if you don't have any answers by Tuesday that you must remind them that it is unfair to keep you waiting. The thing is that if they thought it was a true emergency, they likely would have him scheduled for surgery already...so the fact you are waiting could be a good thing. I know with my dad..he went to the doctor for an unrelated matter,,,they saw his kidney was cancerous and he was in the hospital the same day!

@snowy22315 It's going from one doctor to another-which is what's taking so long. It's not just a matter of the results being told to us. Plus he's going for more tests now so who knows how long it will all take to be get to us.

@Letranknight2015 I think its a matter of people not wanting to do their jobs. The results have to be faxed to his doctor and we would know something.

I have to have one of those too. But it is my understanding that most of the time it is just polyps. And if it is more...that type of cancer is easier to cure than most others. I have not read your previous posts about this yet, but I hope the research I did on this...is correct.

@teresatrotter I hope it won't be anything too serious. Waiting is the worst part.

i guess it depends on what they are looking for...I get mine within a day...but with me they are just checking for vitamin deficiencies.
My dad had a similar scare 2 months ago. I guess they tend to panic when they feel like something is the matter with them. My mom knew he will be fine and told me not to take his worries seriously.

My father survived colon cancer twice - it's very curable when caught early. He lived many years after and was never bothered by it again. The first time he had it an ultrasound was the first test he had done and it from there he went to a surgeon. It shouldn't drag on and on. That's not fair to any of you.

@AbbyGreenhill He had many tests done-and it's going from one the hospital doctor to his primary doctor. Apparently that is a forever long process! I wish we would be told something...

@LovingMyBabies Maybe it depends on how the ins. cos work now days. I know my father went to the doc complaining he couldn't eat certain foods - like gravy/sauces/rich stuff...doc sent him for ultrasound and when he got the results sent my father right to the surgeon. It was fast and he had surgery a few days later. I hope you get results soon, I know it is frustrating to wait.
