Deer antlers I found in the forest

It happens every so often, that I'll find a set of deer antlers in the forest. It's the kind of thing that a lot of people would miss, because when they are laying on the forest floor, they tend to just look like branches-when you look a little closer, you can tell they are something a little different. Sometimes you can see the marks on the trees that the buck's will leave-if you're in the forest and you randomly see a patch ripped in the bark, chances are that a buck has been around. Sometimes as well if you look closely by a rock pile, you may also find a snakeskin which was shed-but these are things that many people would not notice, because they just don't know what they are looking at, and their minds interpret it as something different. I've spent a lot of time out in nature this summer-for me, it's been a calm within the storm. Oh, just incase I need to mention a photo credit, I took the photo, and own it-haha, I never know if I need to mention that, but do just incase.

That's unusual. I never heard of anyone finding antlers without a deer under them!

Snakes shed off old skin. But how about antlers? Do they sort of fall off naturally?

Yup, they come off every year after the dating season-usually by bucks fighting over doe's, or by rubbing them against the trees, this knocks them off and allows for new ones to come up.
