An Apple a Day: Munch It.

September 3, 2016 2:19am CST
Have you had real life-changing moments? Most of our lives belong to the common, ordinary and mundane. I'm done saying to myself, “this, too, shall pass”. As I grow older, I've learned to get on with the present wave in the humdrum of each day. Parenting and making sure home is secure and there's enough food set on the table for a large family as ours take much of my days. If there's some money saved, my husband and I date once or twice every three months. Life is just so busy, we hardly notice time flies so quickly. Our latest dates and family outings felt like only the last-week's-ago. Sicknesses come and go. And then, life moves on learning from mistakes and get back to work with jobs and studies. That's "apple for the day" to taste and see, munch, swallow. That's the daily grind. What does yours look like?

Scientifically, I think it's the Vit. C in apples that promotes good health in the body.:-)

@arintellect007 I hundred percent agree. Apples detox, as well. And what I like most is, I can get away with not visiting the doctor. :-D

Thank you. We have times of indifference toward each other. But we do try our best to provide a safe, loving and 'cool' home for our children and ourselves.

Fortunately for me the days of the daily grind are long gone. Now I just take life as it comes and enjoy it.

Yes. when i was 15 years old and another when I was 23...so far only two events have changed the course of my life. P.S- the apple has got nothing to do with the post? look yum though.

At those ages, 15 and 23, must be times of rejoicing? Happy moments? It's a common British saying. A proverb to mean that "an apple a day" relieves feelings of emotional pressures of life. The saying, "An apple a day keeps the doctor away." :-)

@ms1864 Oh, I'm so sorry. But I'm glad to know that the sad past turned out to have benefited you and your life to what you have become now. May goodness and lots of love follow you all your days, Manisha.
