All my Oklahoma and Kansas connections appear to be awake. We just had an earth quake. Nothing too much.
Some reports of a 5.8.
This is the first one I have felt since moving here.
Hubby was up walking around and thought he was falling over.
So, good morning world, we ARE still here. I know others have had much worse.

There is no damage around here, maybe in Oklahoma, I have not heard. As I posted this all the other people who have it worse were on my mind. For us this is just a bit of a curiosity.

I think we are far enough away from the epicenter. It was alarming, but not dangerous.

@GardenGerty There is one of those world ending type movies that has the epicenter in the middle of Kansas. Kansas breaks apart in the movie. Wish I could remember which movie it is.

Good Morning. I hope everyone is fine there. Earthquakes are always scary especially when you get to feel the magnitude.

Used to we never heard about them here in the central part of the US. I have lived in California, and it seemed we felt them weekly.

Thanks for the update. I read on my feed that people in Arkansas felt it. I am in a town called Florence, the closest town myLot let me mark is Marion, ten miles away. This is the first I have felt one her. I had felt little temblors in my previous town. Nothing this big and obvious.

Yes, we just got a big roll out where I live. Others where I used to live felt more, as did family in OKC area.

Yeah Steve woke me up saying he couldn't believe the house moving didn't wake me up.
He says the couch moved with him sitting on it...and Liz said the bunkbeds were shaking like the kids were jumping on them or something.

We get them very very rarely in Eastern Canada. Most people don't even know what's happening. We had one near Ottawa when we lived out there. We had to explain it to the kids. At least they didn't panic like some people in the area did.

I'm glad you are okay. I grew up with little earthquakes in San Jose and was "used" to them. But now, living in a mobile home, I really don't like feeling them at all. Hope nobody got hurt in the one you felt.

Glad your okay. 5.8 would be enough for me here in tornado alley.
