We just had an earthquake here right before 7AM. It was actually the first I've ever been though, and it was pretty interesting.
At first I thought it was the cats chasing each other. For such tiny animals, they do make a rumble. But then it got stronger, and I was pretty alarmed. I went outside but there was no one else out. It felt like it lasted about 15 - 20 seconds in total, with maybe about 5 seconds of it feeling rather intense.
So far I don't see any damage to the townhouse, no cracks or anything like that, so I'm guessing it was pretty mild as far as earthquakes go.
Anyone up on Mylot in the Oklahoma area? Did you feel that?

@mawhite Yes they know who the owner is, because he never stopped asking about his dog. The dog is a retriever, he had difficulties to walk immediately after they took him off the rubles. The firefighters immediately gave him water and soon after he started to walk and wave the tail. Two days before they had found a cat still alive, her owner cried when she saw she was alive.

Wow, it is written it was 5.6 on the scale. Tulsaworld.com/earthquakes has a list of earthquakes magnitudes felt.
It is located at the right side of the screen and you can choose to see the magnitudes that are 2.5 or higher.
The one that you talk about was at Magnitude 5.6 - 14km North West of Pawnee, Oklahoma.
I that correct ?
I hope no damage was done to any of the buildings around and that everything is all right.
In my country, many buildings are not well prepared to absorb an earthquake and the lazy contractors want to strengthen buildings, only if they earn a lot from it...Greedy contractors. If I was a contractor, I would strengthen buildings even if I lose money. I would show the government that there is a problem in the buildings and something must be done.

So far it seems minor property damage. However I've been reading on FB that some homeowners are worried about their insurance not covering earthquake damage without an earthquake rider, which many people have never purchased due to there never being earthquakes in the area before.
