I can't imagine what people did before calculators! Of course it doesn't help that I am mathematically retarded :) I never trust my own calculations no matter how good they are.

i know i will do it in my head and i alway have a feeling it is not right so i redo it on the calculater.

I use one quiet often especially on things where I need to know what the totals are exactly. Like checkbooks. Where I cannot make a mistake. That way I can double check what I've done to make sure I didn't mess up anywhere.

Yes, I use it when it's bill paying time or when I'm trying to balance the checkbook.

A calculator is useful calculating device. This is invented for calculation and it made very easy to calculate different mathematical functions, such as sum, subtraction, multiplication and division. It does much more than this calculation without any wastage of time. I remember the days, when we used to calculate on our fingers or we used to use our brain for this purpose. It was very tough. We still use our brain and fingers but calculating by a calculator is very easy and accurate. So we prefer to use calculator instead of using other calculating sources.
