norton uses up too much ram and scans every freaking thing so it slows down the loading of games/software...so therefore i'm using avg free 7.5 http://free.grisoft.com/freeweb.php/doc/1/lng/us/tpl/v5 it works like noroton with less ram usage and is also better and free.
macaffee is the same their just big names in the market

wilkingh , I have serious thing to know from u . I have been getting an notice whenever I start computer that tells avg7.1 is going to be out of use after 15th January and it is going to be replaced by avg.7.5 . I thought that 7.5 is a licensed product and is to be purchased . I was a little bit worried . because these softwares are generally costly ones . But as you told it is free I am relieved . MY experiences also is in favour of avg.
How can I convert my 7.1 to 7.5 ?

I use Norton Antivirus 8.01i Enterprise Edition, it works very well.

I've used Micro Trend anti virus for years. I have tried out several others, but prefer it. I agree with the poster who said that Nortan uses a lot of resouces.

i use mcafee
norton is pretty slow
try out something called
zone alarm security suite
that rocks ....
u can find it in rapishare
give me a rating if u find it useful
