Is MyLot Slow Today? / myLot

I have written a discussion here more than half an hour ago but it won´t publish when I hit the "Start Discussion" button. I kept on waiting and wating and I was tired of waiting when it came to 30 minutes waiting. Without thinking, I clicked to another page and lo, my discussion was gone.

I know, I know. I should have not done it because there is no saving the discussion in this site. I hope this post will come through. Have you done this before? I write immediately at Mylot not on my Word first and transfer it here. Thinking of backups, do you have a backup USB for your discussions at Mylot? Do you think I should do that? It´s only in this site that I have no backup USB. What about you? Thanks for reading and ejoy your weekend.

Yes does that to me as well. I think you have to refresh the page and try posting it until it works.

If I think I might lose a discussion I just copy it to clipboard that always runs in the back ground then if the discussion does evaporate I hit paste and voila there is my discussion,.

@thelme55 Definitely, we can never tell if this site might close down and we'd lose our posts .. I will save my discussions .. I just need to find time .. I am procrastinating about it. lol..

@epiffanie I am using USB sticks for backups of my writings but my discussions at Mylot are not backup yet. I think I have to do that. Do you think we have to?

I have never waited that long. I copy it and then if it doesn't go through I x out if it and then check my receng discussions. If it is not there I paste the post and submit again.

I've read of a few people having trouble posting, I think there must have been a glitch. I do write my posts elsewhere so never lose them, but I haven't got them backed up.

I quite often have trouble getting a post to 'take'. Usually I delete the whole thing, change windows and start again. I always write in Word first though then cut and paste.

i made a folder for the links of my discussions but the CPU iof the computer was no longer functioning, so now, i don't save them anymore. well, as long as my posts are original and made by me, that is fine not saving them on USB anymore

It happened to me too when the site was so busy; I lost the post and many myLot friends said I should have a backup .

myLot was slow Saturday because this is Labor Day holiday weekend in the US so people are out enjoying the last days of sunny weather.

i'd the same troubles jest a few days 'go with tryin' to submit a discussion. t'was hopin' they'd fixed that gremlin, but 'pparently not. if'n i've somethin' 'important' to dribble 'bout, i write such'n my word processor - savin' that copy 'n addin' the url from here. don't happen oft, lol. all the schtuff'n my puter 'tis backed'p to'n external drive daily.
