Here's to looking at me...

I was looking through my flash drive, and found something I did not know I had; and/or remembered even downloading it. It was a complete shock to me.
This flash drive was gotten long after I lost everything, so I am amazed, that these few photos were on there. There weren't that many on there of me...but still...
Anyway... I found a couple of photos of myself, during the days when I had a successful career, my health was excellent, had plenty of money in the bank and savings account, paid cash for my cars, and wore very nice clothes, some even designer.
And my hair was a deep copper red. Now it is completely white, with some blonde mixed in. LOL Though several have said to me that they like the white on me.
I was happy to realize I had still had these. But I also wonder if this was a good thing? Because when I look at these photos of me, it brings a few tears to my eyes.
They remind me of the days when I was happy. Life was good. I looked great. And now those days are long gone. It is bittersweet to look at...
I just can't ever see myself this way again. I've tried. I really have... But it is hard to do so...when life is still dealing me blows, that could throw me back on the streets again.
Anyway... I am really not much into posting right now. However, I am posting one of the photos I found for now, and might post the other one later. Here is what I used look like before my world turned upside down.

@teresatrotter I can't really imagine what that was like for you

@jaboUK - It was bad. The winter's were bitter cold and summer's hot. And dumpster diving for grub, and having to chase the racoons away to get to the half-eaten food before they do, was no picnic.

Thank you. It would not be so bad, if I was just upset at growing old. I could handle that... But I just don't want to be homeless again. Two years is just too long the first time.

@teresatrotter Have you written here about what happened? I have seen a few posts about your fathers amazing paintings but nothing about your life. I may need to back track. If you did write about it here could you post the link for me to make it easier for me to find it?

@shaggin - I have not written a complete history of what happened, but this post, gives you the highlights.
Before everyone starts giving me suggestions about going to churches and such...they aren't like they used to be. They either don't help, or they say they give...

having bits, both happy and sad, of your history is good.

My situation isn't yours.....I only look worse now because of aging.......and no teeth etc. I have one of those glamour shots of myself hanging around....I never looked as beautiful as I did in those shots.

Glamour Shots could make anyone look good. But I never had one done. I don't think they are even around anymore.

That is a beautiful picture. You can tell it was taken for some special reason. I don't think I've ever worn designer clothes unless they were from a thrift shop, lol. But I like to shop in those places anyway. I hope you find your miracle. I know if you could leave the area or if we were more than scraping by ourselves you would have your miracle by now. Please take care of yourself.

You "looked" remarkable back then and you "are" remarkable even now.

@teresatrotter Don't think like that. "Beauty is only skin deep" right? Besides, if you are humble enough to accept the changes and not give up on life then you are prettier than most of the people I know.
