I am not saying anything major is wrong-I am not a doctor so I don't know. But I am getting myself prepared in case the results come back and it's bad. If it's something where my husband cannot work anymore I have decided to go back to school.
The results are taking so long because it's going from the ER doctor to his regular doctor. We are just left waiting until his primary doctor gets the results. And now with more tests soon it will be more waiting games...
I hate school-I have all my life. (I know that sounds weird since I Home School, Lol). It's not the learning I didn't like-it's the test taking I have always had an issue with. Plus I am terrible at math! Thank God my kids learn that online because I am not strong in that area...
I am just hoping I can handle being a mom, wife, home school teacher, childcare provider and a student! Anyone think I can do this??

@LovingMyBabies The waiting and unknown are always the worst thing when you are the one doing the waiting. I have been there many times as my husband has had 6 heart attacks, a stoke and more than six knee surgeries. You can see I have spent many times in the hospitals and they are always nerve wracking.
A little faith and prayers can work wonders. Bless you. You are in my prayers.

like other mylotters, i'm hoping it's not major, too. i didn't love but didn't hate school, either. was just an average student. is math the only subject they learn online, then you teach them the rest? what are you going to study when you go back to school?

@hereandthere Yeah, math is the only subject they do online. The rest is me teaching them. I won't teach them something I'm not good in, I don't want to hinder them in any way.
I am not sure yet. I know I want to work with children. Thinking about psychology, we will see.

@hereandthere Nope, you can have tutors, co-op groups, online classes, etc...
I don't want to teach common core and that is required so I wouldn't want to teach at a public school.

@LovingMyBabies because i thought homeschooling meant you have to do it all yourself, so i'm glad there's an online option, too. how about early childhood education?

I think you will have to prioritize and you must accept that you are not super-woman and not set unrealistic goals for yourself. But I think at the moment, prayer and mental preparation are what is called for and then you can decide. School may not be the answer at all unless you are looking to be a nurse where there is pretty much a guarantee of a job.

@BelleStarr Yeah, it's going to be tough and I am hoping everything will come back fine. If not though I will have to deal with going back to school.

@LovingMyBabies I don't think you'd have time to still home school though, that was my thought. There are only so many hours in a day. You may need a helper - depending on what is going on with your hubby's health.

@CinnamonGrl The good thing is Home Schooling is flexible-doesn't matter what time of day you do it as long as your teaching and their learning. After work each day is fine.

Of course you can do that.
Wait until you get the news and make sure that your husband and the kids are on board, you'll need everyone's co-operation on this one.
I don't suppose it would do any harm to research the job market so that you can take courses to fit you in there.

Yes you can. And your husband will still do a share even if it is less than now.
I aoways preferred tests to assignments. They were done by a set time. It was my chance to get everything I'd learned out onto the paper. Assignments are so time comsuming and can be tweaked over and over. Lol
I hope the tests show it isn't too serious.

It may be difficult, but I know it's not impossible. It took me a long time reading and coming up with words that, hopefully, can add value to you as you embark on a mission. Why not considering starting a network marketing business? Search for a sponsor who can help you as you start small. Kathy Denison is a great single mom for her two kids. She started small with her sponsor named Mark Yarnell, until she went on to become a millionaire and an international figure in the network marketing business. At least, you will own your time to take care of the kids and your husband. The learning curve is not too long.
