As a teacher I have taught brightest of high school and college students. Teaching bright students is not a difficult task. In fact, I enjoy teaching good students. But today on Teachers' Day in India, I took up a challenge - the challenge of teaching a low IQ boy of fifteen, who dropped out of school when he was six. I have to first teach him sign his name and count upto 50. That's my target for next twelve days. It is difficult but I hope to succeed.

That is exactly where every single teacher should work on to do proper justice to the term.I am glad that you have taken that route.Best of luck.

It does seem like it would be difficult but definitely a good challenge. I wonder why he dropped out of school at 6? Here in the U.S., it is a law that all children have to attend school.

Hi I was a teacher too. I think when we start encouraging the kid with low IQ as if he did a great job for his/ her little efforts then they really like to work harder. I hope you reach your targets! Best of luck
