If you follow my blog then you seen this picture in my last WIP Wednesday post.
It's called a locker hook rug, for those of you that might want to know.
I wanted to try making one with some sort of design and this is what I came up with.
I need to find 8 more colors past what I already have.
I am not much further than in the picture with working on an orange square now.
My goal is to finish the orange and at least get one more color complete while babysitting today.
I have all of my electronics with me and of course I am working on them, but I don't want them to be my main focus today.
It will soon be time for lunch. They always plan out the meals for me when I am babysitting which is really nice.
They actually brought home food from work last night for our lunch and supper today. They work at Woodies Smokehouse.
They brought home ham and chicken as well as potato salad, corn on the cob, and baked beans. They also brought plates and plasticware from work so that I don't have too many dishes to wash.
Well, I do want to get some more notifications gone through before it's time for me to get lunch out, so I will close for now.
Happy Labor Day!!

We usually throw our plasticware in the dishwasher...sometimes it melts though LOL
My mom collects it up when we go to a dinner or out to eat...and rewashes it.
My son asked while we were camping if we were throwing it away or washing it...we told him throwing it away.
The kids are pretty easy to babysit. They entertain themselves well, and usually play great together.

@crazyhorseladycx I didn't let them outside even though they kept asking. It was so windy that day that it about blew me away.

I used to like doing this with my mom when I was younger! I'm sure that's going to be one pretty rug.

Wow, that is going to be gorgeous!
The food they brought you sounds soooo good. I have some leftover baby back ribs from our dinner last night.

They don't hardly ever have ribs left over at the end of the day.....in fact they often times run out of meats and side before closing and have to close early.
I think they might be busy today for the holiday. They are well known for how good their food is.

I also make what are called toothbrush rugs, which was taught to us by a lady at church who is almost 100 years old.
To learn how to make a locker hook rug, I took a class on it.
