Cooked food that is not for me

Philippines

I know that my uric acid isn't gone, and mostly likely will become permanent if I keep eating foods that can cause it. I have taken atenurix for four months within this year, and gives me the impression that this won't go away unless I avoid the foods that causes uric acid. Yesterday, she cooked Mung Bean soup and now SAUTÉED PORK WITH SHRIMP PASTE and SHRIMP! Okay, so I gave it a shot and ate some soup with rice. Afterwards my knee started hurting again, something very familiar months ago, which I thought I was never going to feel again. It was very dumb and stupid of me. I love mom and her dishes, but why she keep cooking foods that aren't meant for me to eat Because of that I didn't exercise today and rest instead. While she was cooking it I prepared my own veggie soup again.

Maybe you should talk to your mom about the foods that hurts your knees . She may have forgotten about it .

@Letranknight2015 So , whenever the day starts , you ask her what she will be cooking so you can remind her .

I guess she's preoccupied because of her shoulder injury and grandma that she forget important things like this one @SIMPLYD but right now, I just decide not to eat them, no matter how tempting it is.

@thelme55 diced pork sauteed in bagoong (shrimp paste). i don't know how it's cooked, if there's any additional ingredient, but how it's served in the eatery i used to frequent is with sliced eggplant.

I'm not sure if sinigang is bad for me @hereandthere but I think the leaves can be beneficial.

Maybe your mom loves the food she cooked. So that means you have to cook the food that suits you.

Uric acid will cause problems when it's declining as well as when it's increasing, so the food you ate might not have been the real culprit. Gout, which is what I assume you have, appears randomly when uric acid is elevated, so that's another thought. Although it's wise to avoid seafood and meat! A little seafood with some vegetables, cooked or raw, should be fine, though. I suffer from gout due to elevated uric acid caused by kidneys that don't function well.

Tell your Mom to avoid cooking foods that are high in uric acid. It is hard to avoid such foods when it is laden on the table.

Your mom might be thinking of a healthy you when you were younger. But anyway, you can be well again. What if there's a product that can slowly burn the uric acid in your bones, would you be willing to try it?
