A "Feeling of Euphoria?"

Why are kids or young adults finding ways to get the "feeling of euphoria?" Isn't that what life is all about "feeling of euphoria?" Maybe I grew up in simpler times, when getting the feel of euphoria was riding your bike (bicycle)..you know that feeling of euphoria after you peddled your butt up that hill and then the euphoria of coating down that hill when the wind in your face and the speed!! I guess now days the "feeling of euphoria" is choking yourself!! What they don't count on is what happens if the rope/cloth gets too tight and you can't loosen it in time and it cuts off your air and you die? That doesn't sound too euphoric to me!! Just because you see some one doing this, doesn't make it right!!! ~Peace~ photo courtesy of pixabay
Garett Pope Snr said his family had 'never felt pain like this before' after his son, Garett Jr, 11, a sixth-grade student from South Carolina died after cutting off his airways to achieve a feeling of euphoria.

Why are children even playing this game? I think it's more out of curiosity than chasing the feeling of euphoria. And children never really think stuff through.

One of the reasons people wanna feel euphoric is because they've been depressed for too long. They wanna take a break from the pain they've been feeling and they'll do anything just to feel happy again just for awhile. When you can't get your happiness, you just do anything that could make you a little happy.

The days of simplicity are gone. Life is getting complicated each day.

Oh my goodness! I didn't know kids did this! its horrifying! You know sometimes i feel like it is the technology in the hands of children that make children over-informed and under-educated. Where would a child of 11 years hear about such a game? where did his classmates hear it from?...perhaps when they were looking around trying to find new ones.....where else would they look besides online?. How would a 11 year old EVEN KNOW what euphoria feel like?
