Have you ever run across someone who talks constantly? They talk about nothing, they talk about everything. They talk about what they know, they talk about what they don't know.
They just talk it seems to hear themselves talk.
You can't seem to get in a word edgewise.
What do you do in this case? Do you sit and listen and try to jump into their conversation once in a while?
I used to. I don't mean to sound rude but when this happens I write posts in my head to use here later.
I think Jimmy Durante said it best: "My wife has a slight impediment in her speech. Every now and then she stops to breathe."
Am I terrible?

@crazyhorseladycx you are so understanding. I am talking about people who think they know everything and want to make sure everyone knows it.

Oh yes! I am around many parents because of my kids' schools . . . and we all know who the "talkers" are . It's mostly not a bad thing, but there are times when you just have to step out of these conversations and say "Sorry, gotta go!" . . . sometimes they get to be too much!

lol I know a few people like that. I tend to tone them out after awhile. They never give anybody else chance to say anything. It is all about them.

@Happy2BeMe I have noticed that even when it is not all about them it is all about them.

there are times I cannot stand it if the person literally talks non-stop. Especially when I am busy doing other more important things... It can be frustrating to me..I will just slightly frown, continue to do my stuff and hear instead of listen until I hear the important part. Then, I will ask them to repeat that part.

@XinfulThotz it is so distracting. It even distracts from what they are saying when they talk, talk, talk.

Oh yes, I know a few of them. I own a shop and I have a couple of customers who come in to buy something small and end up there for what feels like hours. It's especially difficult to say something to somebody who's there to give you money.

In this case I cannot judge a person whom you are referring
most of the people they talk so much because either they are always alone and no one to listen to them or they are seeking attention or some problem

I have a guy friend who talks constantly. He tells me everything he knows about law which I also know because he's a colleague in the legal profession. Everytime he starts talking, I start day dreaming about things.

@AutumnSnow have you ever noticed that if you do manage to interrupt them and get a word in edgewise they will not miss a beat but pick up your comment and run with it?
