How to save money?

Currently, I am unemployed. My only means of earning is through baking goods and Mylot. I still don't know why at times, when I know that I still have some cash, I feel broke. I guess I know that money for me is just temporary since I don't have a job and have been struggling with taking orders from people since most of my customers are earning a little.

In our country it's power and electricity that eats up a lot of the budget, if you can do that it's a good start You have not told us how many you are in the family, ages of members, etc.. Its easier to form a savings plan if we know more facts

When regards to house bills, my parents were the ones who pay for it. With groceries and all other mini expenses, I'm the one who pays. I have allotted budget for something and then, it turns out that I need t pay for some other stuffs. Sad.

@dyoizzz_lj Wow! I thought Boholanons are the only ones who can make that. Kalamay is very delicious! I'm drooling right now.

We have to have some money in order to save. I save by learning how to cookk well with unespensive ingredients. And I take care of my clothes.

Why you must try to save some money? If you ask me, the better way is to earn more money and not to save it.

The opposite of saving is spending. To save more you need to spend less. To avoid feeling broke, try to change your mindset. Read financial literacy books :)

bills, unending, continuous, money, earn
Hi @EMbakes I am employed but struggles the same thing. I don't know why. I may have a job but transportation eats me a lot! Although there are some alternative routes to save some cash time and traffic will be the demand. I also have my online shop of goods, then decided to go back to mylot again. It's really hard to budget when we have unending bills and a child to support. Let's just strive hard to earn more.

I don't know why at certain point, when I feel that I'm broke, I always think of Mylot. I don't know why. I'm not earning so much here but maybe through multiple interactions from intellectual people motivates me to strive harder. I hope you get to feel that too.

@rairaianne14 Funny how a small amount of cash can excite us. Mylot has some sort of magic.

@EMbakes yeah I'm broke now so I thought maybe Mylot still exist. ha ha ha funny but I think Mylot quite helps us to manage some things that we feel. Not only because they give us money right! :)

I can understand. It can be difficult when you don't have work and a steady income. I can relate. I do hope that things change for you soon.

If you dont earn enough to save, you simply dont. Unless there are ways you can cut back on unnecessary items (a cable bill, fast food, entertainment) but it sounds like that may not be an option. Best of luck.

I know the feeling. We have been without for so long that even when we do have a little bit of money I get worried because I know it will be gone in the blink of an eye. Of course it's never much money to begin with anyway.

Other people made it look so easy. In my case, it's a constant struggle and I don't know why.

I can understand that, not having a more regular job with paychecks that come regularly can be stressful. all I can say is start saving, even if it's the tiniest amount. Each week put that tiny amount back, and over time it will help!

Don't buy things that you don't need. Concentrate on baking and bringing your cakes to the people. I also earn a bit from baking when I am here in the Philippines.

Baking is a good business. You can make more as you establish yourself as a great baker of goods, with a great heart for customer satisfaction. I believe I will buy from you if I'm near your place. You can also be involved in other business to supplement your earnings. We have a branch in your area where you can see if it can be something you can do.

It's really hard especially in our country where most people would compromise quality for the sake of the price.

I am employed in an accounting/law firm but still I take remote projects on Upworrk and do them on weekends and weeknights. I save every penny that I earn. I only stick to my needs (rent, food and toiletries).

I also stick to my own needs, but I don't know why I am so fond of food that sometimes, it feels like an addiction to me. I guess I have to say that I'm not good with money. I'm so clueless right now.
