Try some legit writing sites like iwriter though they pay so low; but I found good clients there who asked me to write for them on a regular basis; that was months ago. It is legit, though there appeared to be some who would just reject your work though you know you had written a good one.

Ever tried hirewriters? They are about 3 steps up from iwriter. I hated iwriters . Think they still owe me $3. After 4 out of 6 of my articles were rejected, I gave up. My reject rate on hirewriters is 7%.

freelance writing seems to be the only option that is good for the small business owners and work at home option.

Online business can also help like buy/sell. Many have made a living through the internet. Be wary though of scams.

I highly recommend Upwork (formerly Elance/Odesk). They have lots of legitimate hourly and fixed price projects. Been with Upwork for almost 1 year now.

Check the WAHM website. They have a forum where you can ask other members about work and there is all sorts of information there about home based jobs.

Being a single mom is a challenging position to be in. However, based on my personal observation, most of the single mom that I encountered have made it and many are successful with their life, especially those who are in business. Business is really also a challenging thing to do, but it's worth it when you work it out until you make it successful. May I know what kind of business are you in?

@dyoizzz_lj Those were good businesses. I just think you just have to manage it well. And I suggest you read the Richest Man in Babylon. You'll learn a lot on how you can make your purse fatter. It's a free download and a classic book that I recommend to anyone who has a lean purse.
