I went to hospital with my husband for my usual monthly pregnancy check up.
I was already out because of nausea.I was wearing some old style clothes and scarf around my hair.I was too tired to comb my long hair.( I have plenty hair going below my bum in length).
So when I went to chemist to collect medicine prescribe by my doctor ,there was this young sales girl behind counter called me AUNTY !
My husband cracked up in laughter looking at my facial expressions.Let me tell you its common in my country to call ladies who are married, and above 30 to call aunty.
But till now It has never has occur to me.I was very proud of the fact that I look young for my age.So it hit me real hard that this young women probably in junior college called me aunty.
When I came my home and did some deep thinking ,I realize that I should just accept it now that people see me as a mature married women.Frankly speaking I am much more happy with myself now than I was in my twenty.
I am in better health,in better shape.I am much more mature and I have confidence to hold conversation with anyone.I dress better and take care of myself.I also wear pant in my marriage. In twenty I was miserable with men and relationship.I never had enough money.
So even though my childish face has started looking mature ,i should'nt be ashame of the fact that people do not confuse me with collegian.

Think of it the other way. Maybe SHE thought she was five years old.
Seriously though, I used to cringe at the thought of getting old. Especially when I was one of the older girls at work but still enjoyed the same thing the younger ones enjoyed. At first I felt left out but when they saw how I was still really very young at heart the awkwardness disappeared. Now, one of my closest friends are 3 or 4 years younger than me. Even better, my level of maturedness somehow rubbed off on them as well so that they grew up a little bit. We finally found a middle ground

Age is really only a number. I have never left my age bother me. There is nothing I can do about it. It is more important that you at a happy point in your life where you are healthy and doing well. To young people everybody seems old to them anyway.
