September Is Pain Awareness Month

United States

For some people some of their pain is unseen, like mental and emotional abuse. Some people may have to deal with pain that people can see that they are suffering from. For example if you have to use a walker or you have a cast. I have arthritis in my back. There are days when the pain is super bad and then there are days were the pain is manageable but the pain is there. Because I have no extra help, except for a cane I some times use, no one knows that I suffer pain. Of course I try to have a positive attitude and act as if nothing is wrong. I do what I have to do, even if I'm in pain or whatever I may do may cause me more pain. So, if I may appear grouchy or you see a tear in my eye, it's because I'm in pain. So, I think having a month to educate people about people's pain, that they might not "physically" see, but a person can suffer from is a good idea. Do you suffer from pain on a daily basis? ~Peace~ photo courtesy of pixabay

This is interesting to know. Low back pain from time to time, but not on a daily basis though. Feel better.
