It is past six in the morning. I just finished my quiet time with God that brought so much comfort to my soul. Now, it is time to feed my physical body so I am sipping hot guava/moringa tea and it does taste so good to me. I gathered all the leaves from my garden so they are really fresh and free from pesticides.
I've been aware of how healthy moringa is but it was only recently that I read about the health benefits of guava leaves so I added it to moringa to make a very healthy tea. Even if I am neither diabetic nor hypertensive this tea is a good natural health maintenance. It is helpful in weight loss also in lowering total bad cholesterol, sugarl levels and triglyceride, maintaining healthy heart, curing hyperacidity and gastrointestinal problems, plus many more,
Did you drink something healthy this morning?

I only drink coffee along with breakfast , each morning . Though , before i always would drink two or more glasses of green tea throughout the day . But then , i noticed my upper dentures darkened , i stopped .
The healthy thing i drink now is a mugful of warm water , first thing in the morning and would eat breakfast after one hour .
I guess that's what made my uric acid and my cholesterol , lower than the normal level.

@salonga I actually don't mind the taste of green tea. In fact I love it's "herby" flavour. But I find that it gives me hyperacidity even with or after food. And the next day, I'm sure to make several trips to the bathroom. I know it's meant to be cleansing but I can't afford to have those reactions when I'm trying not to miss a day at work

If only for the health benefits, we can always set aside the taste.

It is good to maintain healthy heart condition because of its ability to lower LDL level. But if the heart condition is not caused by hypertension then I am not sure if this will help. As a whole, boiled young leaves of guava can help lose weight, prevent diabetes, lower LDL levels, relieves congestion and soothes the stomach.

@ridingbet Ah, then it is always better to ask your doctor's advice first.

Yes, I grew using guava leaves to treat wounds especially with newly circumcised boys and also those who just delivered babies until I saw an article posted at FB that enumerated the many more health benefits of boiled young guava leaves such as to lose weight, prevent diabetes, lower LDL levels, relieves congestion and soothes the stomach.

Just choose the young leaves or the tops of the guava leaves around 10 leaves to a glass of water, boil the water then add the guava leaves, after few minutes of boiling add some moringga leaves if you wish, then after one boil strain the concoction and let your Mom drink it while still hot

I have steered clear from coffee so now I'm training myself to have herbal teas just to get that warm-drink fix without the harmful effects of caffeine. Tried decaf for a while but that made me feel crap.
I love my fruit teas. They're made from dried forest berries. But most of the time, I love my chamomile tea. They're not as fancy as they sound. I really just get them from local groceries here.
I know back home we rarely get these types. I liked malunggay tea while I was there. And I would have them again if I have the chance to go home.

Fruit teas! That sounds lovely! Chamomile tea is great, very soothing to me! Our very own malunggay is truly healthy, I love the fresh leaves boiled for a short while only and then drink while hot to savor the best taste.

@salonga I thought having chamomile during the day wasn't a good idea because it is meant to help you sleep. But on the contrary, it just relaxed your nerves but wont make you drowsy at all. If you have it before bedtime you are guaranteed a good night's sleep.
Malunggay is surprisingly very pleasant as a tea.

I've been adding moringa to both my soup and for making good tea as well, with leaves.

Cool! Tha is the great thing we can ever do to start our morning right by starting seeking God instructions, and have quality time with him.
I just had my morning coffee and plan to have another cup, lol! I dont love the taste of tea to be honest. I wonder how my parents enjoy it.

I drink a lot of tea, black, sometimes green and occasionally white. I consider even the black tea I drink to be healthy in that I never take sugar or even milk. Not so healthy for the colour of my teeth, though!

Thanks for the info about guava; I know some people use it as antiseptic wash too for wounds, etc. and to make hair thick and shiny. I don't know they can be used as tea. i'll try it.
