The more you hate, the more you love

I just remembered my teacher once told me the phrase "the more you hate, the more you love". Could it be possible that you could hate a person because you love them?

Hate takes a lot of energy. You have to be actively thinking of the person in a negative way. Hate is for a lot of reasons. It may be a trail of bitter experiences or one major wrong that you cannot forgive. I know that a lot of time, people who hate each other become friends.

Hate comes when you love someone, you have expectations from them and they fail to fulfil those expectations. The more you hate them, the more are your expectations with them and that is why, the more love. To hate someone, you need to have strong feelings for them. And that doesn't happen when you don't have even a little bit of love for them.

They say there is a thin line between love and hate but that phrase is not always true. There are time that this is not applicable at all.

There is a limit for that. If the string is stretched too long it will break. So not always holds good.

Others experienced it. Others don't. It depends upon the situation.
