Losing a good friend is not easy

This week I found out that a dear friend of mine had passed this summer and I never knew it. I have been saddened by it all week.
He played football for the New York Giants and the Detroit Lions. I met him one Thanksgiving Day at my girlfriends house. It was my first holiday without my children as I was going through a divorce and my ex took the kids to his family's house.
My girlfriends husband was the Chaplin for the New York Giants and Marsh White was there for dinner too along with some other people. He was young and lots of fun. After dinner a group of friends and Marsh went to New York City to see Jesus Christ Superstar. It was wonderful and we had fun.
Through the years I always kept in touch with Marsh and after he stopped playing football he spent his life preaching the gospel. He always thought I was funny and we just enjoyed each others sense of humor.
I hadn't been in touch with him much this year as I had moved a couple of times and had family things to tend to. The other night I went to email him and I got the message from his family that he died. I know he is happy as he couldn't wait to meet the Lord.
I can still see his sweet, happy face in front of me. RIP friend.

My condolences. I'm sure he is happy where he is now and still has that sweet happy face.

@toniganzon Thank you. I know he has his beautiful face lightening up the heavens. Everyone always loved him on earth and I know they will in heaven too.
