Complaint Friday

It's Friday. For some, this means weekend freedom from work. For some of you, this day may be like any other. For those of us who still have children in school, it signifies the last day that we have to get up early just to get the children up early.
But I have decided that Friday is a good day for complaints. Being a big complainer is annoying to others so, like me, you may be holding all your complaints in. That's bad for you. Could cause internal seething. Ulcers. Sudden kick-the-cat syndrome or something worse. It seems best to me that we take one day a week and designate it as a complaint day. Time to get it all out of our systems and just have a good whine. Are you with me? Good. I will start us off.
People who won't wake up. I get up early just to get you up. I don't want to get up. I am tired. I resent people who grunt and turn over in bed when I have had to leave mine. Just accept your fate and get out of bed, for crying out loud.
People who try to make the weather report more exciting. We're supposed to have record heat today. We've had some scorching hot days this summer, so the idea of temperatures that set a record is horrifying. Of course when a weatherman says "record heat", he means the record for this particular day. Record heat is then relative. Record heat in February is vastly different than record heat in July. It's wrong to panic the public just to inject some excitement into your boring career choice.
Paperless schools. I had to sign a form today that will allow me internet access to my son's paperless classroom syllabus. All their work will be done on Chromebooks, nothing will be written down. No pens, no paper, no reports with A+ written on them to hang on the refrigerator. I know that schools have long since abandoned the practice of handing out pens and paper to kids because of budget concerns, but isn't buying them all $250 Chromebooks more expensive? And do you know how many magnets it takes to hang a Chromebook on your fridge?
That's not all. I could complain for hours on end. But it's your turn, now.
Go ahead. What is irritating you today? Share with us on Complaint Friday.

Around here, they dig up all the roads at once. They grade them all at once. They pave them all at once. They rent the equipment, so they do all the roads with one machine, then another, etc. So, lots of roads with holes at the same time, meaning no good route.

I hope you feel better for that....
like you i'm usually the first one up... but that's because after 5 am I sleep very lightly.., so it doesn't take much noise to wake me...., and just the noise of traffic on the street below.is enough...and then I have trouble Getting back To Sleep Again. ..

I don't like when tv newscasters are so cheery when reporting sad news.

People with no patience irritate me, today 4 people walked out of a restaurant because they couldn't wait 2 or 3 minutes for a table to free up, they were aggressive and rather rude and I could have lived without seeing them.

I'm annoyed that my internet has been hit and miss with speed.

I hate this new reliance on technology. The next generation will lose the ability to write. I love writing!

Oops, I survived the week through Friday, I forgot what I complained about. They were too many.
