I honestly don't know how to start my discussion without having to state that I'm addicted in a certain TV show in our country. Just to make sure that my post is safe, I will no longer post the title of the show.
The story goes like this, there are two best friends, a girl (Iris) and a boy (Ali). They both have feelings for each other and they're vocal about it.
Both of them went to Greece for work. Greece is also the place from where Ali's guy best friend named Basti is residing.
Together, they create a bond. Until, a certain secret was revealed.
Ali is in love with Basti. Ali is gay. And Basti is in love with Iris.
If you happen to encounter this kind of situation, how are you going to handle it? What if you found out that the one you love is gay or how would you react if the one you love is in love with your friend?

Just started watching this night the series. Hmm, I thought you were talking about someone, like your friend or your boyfriend.

@ilocosboy They're not official. In our country we define it as"MU." In the show, the character is attracted only to men. As for my friend's old love, he's bisexual.
As of the moment, they treat each other like complete strangers.

I think there are a whole lot of grey areas with sexuality. I've known a few bi-men who have been married to their wives many years. Lots of people don't officially come out about their sexuality, so we'll never know how common bi-sexuality really is.

I have a gay friend who is straight gay. i don't know if that's the right term, but he doesn't like dating girls. He likes to date straight men. His boyfriends break up with him after he gets to spend cash for his boys.

OMG thats really complicated.
well if I really loved someone who happens to be attracted to somebody else (regardless of the gender) i would've let him/her go for his/her happiness.
when you truly love somebody you know no boundaries and selfishness fades out from the list. the only thing that matters to you is his,her happiness.
although i cant really relate to such complicated mess

I'd say the best way to handle it would be a frank meeting between the three. It is difficult but there's no other way in which misunderstandings could be avoided. Find out between which two persons the feelings are reciprocated, and then the 3rd person should come out of it and move on.
