Oh, this is not a sort of kiddie stuff.
Once in a while we are craving for some good taste that we have used to have. Its so happen that I want some fried chicken tonight.
I want it deep friend and when it reaches my mouth you can hear the crunch sounds as it goes through my teeth. Oh, don't forget the gravy, hot sauce and the sprinkle that makes it spicy.
Okay, maybe I should run to the nearest fastfood chain now in the city to have the bucket of fried chicken. Who wants some.

haha, I am thinking about the same thing too.
KFC has put leaflet into my letterbox to promote the latest home delivery offer.
I think the last time I had fried chicken was five or six months back.
I remember that was just after Chinese New Year.

@ilocosboy I like chicken, but I do not really eat fried chicken.
If I do not see the flyer, I will not normally think about eating fried chicken.

I'm not craving for mall Southern style fried chicken with breading and gravy cause that is quite common already, I want native Philippine chicken that is newly slaughtered and had not been frozen or refrigerated, marinated in simple traditional soy sauce, kalamansi or native lemon, garlic and a dash of salt and pepper then fried to a crisp golden brown with no breading.
Yes ufc or papa banana catsup instead of gravy, wonder where I can buy native chicken.

@ilocosboy oh yes you reminded me that. The soup alone and the papaya is enough because native is so tasty even without condiments like knorr and magic sarapanother good one for this is the " tinalo or bihag" cockpit loser, do you also eat this?
Oh we do not use ampalaya leaves but young chilli tops. Ampalaya lesves is good in munggo with chicharon instead of pork slices

Oh well, native chicken is not for fried chicken but for tinola with the young leaves of wild ampalaya or the papaya fruit.

@ilocosboy All the ingredients can be found at pure gold.
Marinade the chicken with buttermilk, If you cant find butter milk, just use a can of evap and squeeze in a single calamansi or a teaspoon of vinegar, Add salt and pepper too.
add one teaspoon of each to a bowl of flour for your breading:
Chili powder
parpika
Garlic Powder
onion powder
ground peppercorns
2 leaves of oregano crushed (yes the one we use for cough) or a teaspoon of dry oregano.
Marjoram leaves, sage leaves and basil leaves (You can also cheat by buying McCormick Italian seasoning instead.)
MSG (optional)
Once the chicken is marinated you will dump it in beaten eggs and coat it with the breading. Dump it in beaten eggs and bread it again.
Deep fry it. Once it is slightly brown, put it in a your container and let it cool down a bit. once it is cool, fry it again.

I am always hungry for good old fashioned spicy fried chicken. Yum Yum. And the biscuits and gravy and mashed potatoes. All good. Finger licking good!
