Sale On Food, No Money In Pocket

Why is it that every time there is a good sale on food you have no money to buy any? It seems every time they put the food that you like on sale you have empty pockets?
I had to go to the store to pick up one item, that's all I had the money for, and when I walked in there was a terrific sale going on.
Unfortunately, when I do have the money to buy groceries this sale will be over.
Until next week I will do with what I have. I have plenty of food but it would have been so nice to be able to take advantage of the sale.

We have weekly sales, but others find things on clearance that I didn't know was going on, and I'm the same way, I can't be spending extra on those things right now either. One day maybe I can shop those sales again, but first I need to be able to pay everything that is due when it's due and that's not always possible.

@HazySue I usually have more in the summer months and have to watch to not spend more than I should. This is the first summer in many years where I've had to watch the funds more than normal. For me, I'm still in debt, so that makes it more difficult.

@MarshaMusselman money coming in seems to get less and less while the money going out keeps going up.

@MarshaMusselman I know what you mean. My medical bills have been piling up.

That happens to me too, so frustrating. A feeling I know very well, unfortunately.

@LovingMyBabies I think that these days more of us are frustrated by this.

A constant problem for me....I see a good deal with a sale and coupons but have no money to spend to take advantage of it. I don't make much money. The most I make is right now $40 a week from babysitting...and most of that goes for gas in the car and such.

I very seldom see a decent sale on food around here, unless it is pure junk...I mean meat that I wouldn't feed the dog.

@HazySue We don't get a newspaper so not much chance to see who has anything on sale.

@AbbyGreenhill I usually don't know what is on sale until I go into the store.

@AbbyGreenhill that's too bad. I see some terrific sales here, at times.

Murphy's Law I expect. Happens here quite often. Not fair.

@celticeagle true. Murphy's law can apply to many things in our life.

I always think this when I see the sales that start in the UK on Boxing Day. Surely most people have spent all their disposable income on Christmas? Well, apparently not.

@asfarasiknow I am thinking that after paying bills most don't have any money left over.

@responsiveme there are sales every week. The good ones seem to be on the weeks I don't have extra to spend on them.
