I can't believe I watched "Beverly Hills Chihuahua"

We decided that we should watch this 2008 film in the interest of research since we are taking care of my daughter's four month old Chihuahua puppy for four or five days. The odd thing is that we found it a lot more entertaining and funny that I would have imagined. The dog characters are endearing were wonderfully voiced by some good actors and entertainers like Edward James Olmos, Placido Domingo, Cheech Marin and Drew Barrymore. The CGI shots of thousands of these little dogs were strange to see. Now my daughter tells me that there are two sequels, but...maybe not right now. It was certainly lightweight and a welcome change from the election news. Have any of you seen this movie?

That movie is the reason Why I gave my monster looking malem Bulldog a very girly name just for the laughs. Remember what happened to the villain dog named El Diablo in the end. he is adopted by an old lady who dress him up like a Princess. This may sound weird but I kind of wish Chloe ended with Delgado instead of Papi despite of the size differences......

I have not seen this movie and I suppose you would have never watched it too, if it was not because you thought it was useful for dogsitting the chihuahua of your daughter.

@JamesHxstatic I confess that I would never choose a chihuahua, even if they are cute.

Right, hoping to have a better outlook toward a breed of dog that I would never choose.

LadyDuck I still would not choose one, but she was really cute, smart and well behaved as well. I was amazed.

@JamesHxstatic Rescue dog's are the best, I think they love you the most because you adopted them and took them home so they are not in the shelter that long. I know animal's don't want to be in a shelter they would rather be in a loving home where they are loved and taken care of,

Nor would I have if my daughter was not bringing hers down to us for five days, but was surprised by the escapist aspect.

@TheHorse yes, there are some fantastic movies that are made for "kids" that definitely rank up there with my favorites... I love both Lion King and Finding Nemo as well. (and many other kids' movies)

@JamesHxstatic Two of my all-time favorite movies are Lion King and Finding Nemo. My thanks to the kids who made me watch them 123 times.

Election news can indeed be stressful so Yes, I would prefer to watch this given the choice. I find the movie quite funny even though it is quite silly but the dogs are super cute though.

I have not. I don't generally like light weight stupidity. Of course, I'm referring to election news. I might enjoy the movie, though.

I have not seen this movie. Back when I was going to college I lived with my aunt and uncle. They had a Chihuahua. Their dog didn't strike me as being any different than any other small dog.
