Some of you know I belong to a women's service organisation called Altrusa, that works supporting literacy projects within the community. Today was my group's annual training day, where three groups from the lower part of New Zealand's North Island come together. It's called IFF Day, standing for information, fun and friendship. It's hosted by my local group and, as we don't have to travel to get here as the other groups do, we are responsible for catering for lunch for the women attending. We had a wonderful day, learning many new things, including taking photos for promotional purposes, working as a volunteer and developing new projects that will assist our local communities. The photo here is of a group of us in the kitchen, getting the lunch ready for the twenty-five attendees.

Your meetings sound so interesting Val. This is a great photo, it's kind of you to prepare food for those who come from distant areas of the country.

Hi @LadyDuck , The national organisation pays us to provide the food and it goes into our club fundraising funds and will go toward some of the literacy projects we support in the community.

Eh, literacy is overrated. Just teach them how to hunt, fight, worship false idols, and keep women in their place. They'll make fine Medieval citizens.
