Do You Name Inanimate Objects?

I have a habit of naming things close to me. This guitar is Freddy. I finally got a guitar with a decent tone because heck, they started making a cheap one in China. I know, I know, it's Unamerican. But what can ya do? Anyway, do you name cars, musical instruments, various objects you know and love?

No I don't really, though I do get cross with inanimate things sometimes, and call them names!

Heh. I do that too. And inanimate objects sometimes reach out and grab me in my house. I live in a small space.

I can relate. I sometimes talk to objects when I'm really annoyed or angry.

We don't really. Sometimes we try to name cars but the names never stick.

@JudyEv Heh. We like to mess with Suri, or however you spell her name. She has the funniest responses to inappropriate questions.

But Herc is family. Do you name chickens too? We (they) do up at Borges Ranch, where I take my kid clients.

@TheHorse We'd name chickens but they're not inanimate objects. The GPS girl is called Doris so perhaps that counts as inanimate.

I would love to buy only American made things to help those here in the United States keep jobs but the prices are much higher unfortunately.

@CinnamonGrl Oh shoot lol I forgot to write about that part of the post. I am only half awake here at mylot right now drinking my coffee. There are times I have named my objects but not often. My parents had a old white truck that they named Casper and put the name Casper on the side in pink letters. I can't think of any off the top of my head that I have named but I know that I have named things!

For cars, we had the Bomb, the Silver Streak, The War Wagon, Granny Putt-Putt among others. I named the vacuum cleaner at work Matilda. I keep telling her to Waltz with me, Matilda, but she just tips over and dumps the utensils. I call my computer the Crunch Machine and sometimes other names that are not nice.

A very interesting habit of yours indeed. Well I do not give names to any intimate object of mine. But yes, I do give names to certain things that happen to catch my attention or say, when I feel like toying around a bit. Like the other day, I came across a spider carrying an egg and I started calling her Mother Spidey.

@CinnamonGrl Haha I'd have called her that too most likely but for some reason I felt bad for that poor thing; carrying the egg around all alone. Curse the daddy spider-such a male chauvinist I tell you!

I don't do it myself but I know many people who do. I think it is fun and interesting. So how long have you been playing the guitar for?
