I watched Nanny McFee last night. I was surprised my boyfriend actually liked it. I expected him to leave 10 minutes into it. He even laughed out loud during the wedding scene.
I liked it well enough though it's a lot like Mary Poppins.

You probably won't have heard this, but its one of my all time favourite comedy films.
Carry on At Your Convenience
With Sid James, Hattie Jacques, Kenneth Williams and the Carry on Team.
Has me in stitches everytime, watched it a few days ago to cheer myself up, did the trick!

a friend of mine loaned me a dvd. Serenity. I've watched it about 3 times in the last 2 weeks. Even though I've heard a lot of negative reviews on the movie I like it alot (obviously)and I'm hoping someone gets it for me for christmas. Either that or the dvd of firefly(the tv show it was based on). If you like sci fi or Joss Whedon's stuff you'll probably like it to. (I can't imagine why anyone would not.) heh. I'm done babbling now.

Walk the Line
Joaquin Phoenix does a breath taking job at portraying Johnny Cash. The mannerisms, the facial expression, the way he held his guitar and hunched his head over, while grinning--perfect. Reese Witherspoon is beautiful as June Carter, and the two of them together constantly steal the show from each other. It must also be said that both of these actors use their own voices for the songs, and that's saying a lot because the music in this movie is amazing.
The story, the music, the progression of the events is very well done. One, upon watching the movie, is totally immersed in Mr. Cash's world. They feel what he feels, see what he sees. This two hour movie takes us through the past, on an amazing trip in Johnny Cash's shoes as he walks the line.
it's a ten out of ten classic.
