My Strange Memory

My friends and I went out on a lake with a pedal boat. When we were in the middle we decided to head for home.
I was the only one strong enough to pedal the boat back. When we got close to the dock, I said that I don't know how to dock a boat. Then I started twisting the wheel this way and that way and made a perfect docking.
That is when I remembered something that happened years earlier. One of my sons went to preschool. There was an aide there with long hair. One day, she wore her hair in a single long braid.
My son saw it and started screaming that it was a snake. He got hysterical enough for them to tell me about it.
I asked him what is all this stuff about snakes? He said the boat turned over. There were snakes in the river. They bit us and we drowned.
I asked him if he saw a movie like that. He said it really happened. I asked his name and he said he did not know because he was a baby. He told me I should know because I was his father. He said I drove the boat.
He kept up about that for a few weeks and then stopped. I asked him later and he remembered. Then he started saying it was a dream. Now he can't remember it at all. But, I knew how to steer the boat.
Did anything weird like that ever happen to you?

I had a dream about meeting a lady and having a conversation with her. At the time, I lived in Nebraska. 20 years later after moving to Texas, I met that lady and I knew exactly the words that were going to come out of her mouth. And they did @akalinus .

@akalinus Yep, as a matter of fact she was the President of the animal shelter 'New Leash on Life' that I donated my land to build it on. And it does make sense. There have been several people that I have met for the first time that I asked, "Have we met before?"

@akalinus I'm surprised Ruth didn't at least let you know, or even a phone call.

Some dreams are vivid. I've had them.

This is weird. When I realize that there are things that I know how to do but I cannot remember where I learned, I think that some "tasks" our ancestors used to do are genetically transmitted to us. Like the dolphins born in Seaworld that can perform some attraction before the instructors teach them.

That is something I did not think about. There are people that I just know. Once we were camping and another couple came over and we started talking. We talked most of the night. They were gone in the morning. People asked who our company was. I had to admit we did not know. We never asked their names. We just knew each other.

It is rather dangerous to find a snake swimming in the river.

It maybe a dream or a memory from a previous life, it must have been so clear that he couldn't let go.

That is really strange isn't it? What a vivid and 'real' dream he must have had.
