Holy cow!

Had an unexpected visitor this morning. Right before I left for church, I decided to role up my shades in the front room. Staring me right in the face, maybe 5 to 8 feet away was this big black cow! Now we do live in a rural area and there is a herd of cows a mile or so down the street, so I shouldn't have been that surprised. But I would be more likely see a deer in our front yard then a cow. I blurted out "Holy cow"!
Todays sermon was on Proverbs 27. The irony did not escape me.

Yesterday, I went to attend a "shradh" ceremony deep into a rural area. Our bolero van had to zigzag to avoid the "holy" ones umpteen times. And we had to be extra careful because they are really held holy in these parts.
