Best books by Indian authors

I'm recently having a great liking for Indian authors and I'm reading everything that I can get my hands on. Such authors include Anita Desai, Kiran Desai, Rohinton Mistry, Arundhathi Roy etc. I'd welcome more such suggestions in this genre.

I am not much fan of Indian authors. But I like Amish Tripathi.Read his following books- The Immortals of Meluha, The Secret of Nagas and Oath of the Vayuputras.
