Those Shoes Were Made For Walking

walking shoes,

Those shoes were made for walking and they sure do their job! They are not expensive shoes but they were bought for walking inside the house and they do just fine. My poor shoes are getting old though and I will soon need another pair of walking shoes. I just finished my 31 minutes of walking and put a lot of energy into it and now need a little break sitting here while my dryer is working hard for me. Have you done your exercise today and do you feel good about it?

I did an hour at the pool and then walked around Walmart doing my grocery shopping so I did my exercise today.

@marlina Very little. Only to the supermarket and back and only because Leticia makes me do it.

@marguicha Is it because of the weather that is too hot or humid?

@marlina What brand are they? I do a lot of walking in the house, over 60 miles a week, and have trouble finding shoes that are comfortable and that have insides that last. I is complicated by the fact that I have one foot that half a size larger than the other.

@marlina Thanks. I have been getting shoes at Big 5 on sale for something like $19.99. I have had the best luck with some older model L A Gear but unfortunately they are no longer available and the newer models don't work as well.

Good for you Valerie! I guess in your case you would have to say "these legs were made for swimming".

@marlina You got that right. It's so much easier in water than on land, but my breathing has increased, so I'm even walking better when I need to go anywhere.

If zumba counts, then I did it today and I am happy about it. My cousin, sister and nieces were practising our zumba today. We will dance it when my father will be 82 next month . A surprise.

@AbbyGreenhill, Abby, if your fork was loaded with food, maybe you did get some "muscle" strength from it.

I went on a run last night. My knee has been painful though and I think I need to rest it for a while. I'm worried that I'll lose momentum if I stop, but maybe it's foolish to try to ignore the pain.
