I Love My Life...

Every pain, every wound, every struggle. I value those things in my life. Without those, I couldn't have grown into what I am today. I wouldn't have known how to live life to the fullest. If I didn't take the risk, life wouldn't have been as much fun as it is now. If I didn't make mistakes, I wouldn't have learned anything at all. Yes, I love my life, my imperfections, my stupidity, my flaws, and my ability to accept what I am and who I am! Don't you just love your life?

Yes I do. As my user name says I am Happy to be me. Life is good. Through all the up and downs, the struggles, the laughter and the tears I wouldn't change a thing. Every decision I made whether it was good or bad made me who I am today.

And that's the attitude! Not all of us see life the same way though and I am hoping this post of mine would somehow help those who feel a bit down.

@LadyDuck Yes, it's me. WAs not a hard fast crash. I already stopped, released my right cleat then brother called me. Turned left, forgot to release left cleat, fell on my left. It was a slow motion fall.

@Mike197602 By the way, I didn't mean I EXPECTED you to not be happy with your life! I just mean because I watch how you talk like I do with everyone here and I just get a feel and observe how people are going. I just hope you did take that the wrong way. But I am glad things are going well for you lately! That's really great! And I wish you luck for this other thing/s you need sorted!

@teamfreak16 Oh no. I joined a 50km fun ride last Sunday and there were young people who were not wearing their helmet. I heard that there were two or three who fell while climbing a slope. This is my first bike accident ever and that's because I wasn't paying attention much. I already released my right shoe from the cleat pedal then my brother called me and I turned left and fell on my left where my shoe waS still attached to the pedal.

@toniganzon - I once wrecked my road bike really bad. Had road rash all over the left side of my body. Luckily, for some reason, I was wearing my helmet that day. This was back when I rarely wore one. My head slammed pretty hard.

@toniganzon It's really nice to see someone love their life so much! I admire that. I wish I felt that happy about life. I'm liking life a lot more than I used to but still not at the stage you're at just yet. Have things to sort out first that will hopefully improve how I see life and my life.

It will for sure. The thing is, you are thinking a lot about your life and you don't allow yourself to dwell too much on the negativity.

It's normal to wish for more. To yearn for what we don't have. It's those dreams that make us want to struggle and work hard. That makes life more interesting.

I'm never really sure how I feel about my life... It could be worse. Everything I have been through has made me a much kinder person but also more nervous etc.

@toniganzon That is true but people handle things very differently and sometimes we cannot help how we think or feel. So it isn't always a choice it is just how our brains function. Sometimes even learning how to handle things differently over time to have better coping skills.

People say I'm a tough person because of what I've been through life which started at a tender age of 13. Everybody expected me to just break down but I've proven them wrong. So I guess it's also a matter of choice in how we deal with what's happening to us.

@shaggin Yeah, i guess that's just my personality. I always think that I have a choice. I was listening to Joyce Meyer's ministry this morning and she talked about how she would think of her bad past when she was abused by her father and she chose not to think anymore so she just told herself to stop thinking. She said that the devil will always find it's way to destroy our peace and the only thing to do is make a choice not to let the devil in. I think it's how I was raised and what happened to me when I was very young that made me who I am. But like you said, people are different. But people can be taught too that they have a choice.

@toniganzon I find all I need in the Lord Jesus. He is my Friend, my Healer, my God! I would be lost without Him. I am still getting to know Him. It is a journey and a good one.

@toniganzon Good for you! Well, I have no choice but to learn to love my life. But if only I could go back to the time when I was 18, I would have not left the seminary. Life would have been wonderful and exciting as a priest. . especially if you're one of my apostoladas!

@toniganzon It's our destiny to meet each other. If I became a priest, destiny would have showed me the path (to trek) that would have led me to where you were waiting with open arms (and, hopefully, everything wide open). Unless you would have appeared with that scary boa constrictor coiled around your sexy body . . . that would have been a big problem for me coz I am really, really scared of snakes!
