Another Early Night

I've been trying to go to bed early enough to be awake when my son returns with my car. He's been getting off at 2 AM so I set my alarm for 1:30 only to find myself coming out of a sound sleep this morning at 1:25. He had been ringing the phone for 25 minutes. He got off at 1 instead of 2. When he dropped me back at the apartment today when I picked him up for work, I forgot to ask him what time he got off so called him and, yes, it's 1 AM again, so I'm headed to bed so I can be up at 12:30 and awake and ready when he arrives with my car so I can take him back to his place and then return for the rest of my night's sleep.
I'm really feeling the stress of this split sleep again. I know I did it before when he had a late overnight schedule, and here I am again with it.
He has the day off for the next three days, so that's good, but he also has his driver's test again tomorrow, and this time he should pass it. He's planning then to buy his own car. That will be good. Wednesday I take the car in right after his class and my swim, to get checked out and then nothing going on on Thursday, so I'm hoping by this weekend to be completely unpacked and get caught up on sleep before his next four days starts again on Friday.
So with that said, I will leave you all for some much needed sleep. I will start on Sept. 9 notifications tomorrow and hopefully get another two days of notifications done. I got two days worth done today, so I'm making some progress. I also got a little more unpacking done and started in on the office. So that is now getting organized.
I hope your day has been a good one. Thanks for reading.

Hope you get some much needed rest. It is difficult to break up sleep like that but it's only short term. Once he gets his own car you will be able to have a normal nights sleep. See you around tomorrow.

@celticeagle I hope so. I won't be here tomorrow. I have another long day down to Milwaukee for my dentures follow-up. So we'll see what I can accomplish.

i'm a tad confused'n regards to the son drivin' yer car, hon. if he's gotta take a drivin' test does that mean he's been drivin' yer car with no license?
glad to hear that'cha got some more unpacked.

Yes he has and no I'm not in favor of him doing so, but I gave up arguing with him about it. At least he never got caught without a license which would have gone on my record and raised my insurance rates, or an accident either. He now has his license and his own vehicle.
