With #6 in my Favorite German Bands series, we leave heavy metal behind for possibly the greatest electronic band ever, Kraftwerk.
Kraftwerk formed in Dusseldorf in 1969 and is still going strong.
(Fun fact you probably already know: Kraftwerk translates to "Power Station.")
The band is one of the most influential groups in music; every electronic act worth it's salt cites Kraftwerk as such. Boasting a large, impressive body of work, Kraftwerk was given a Lifetime Achievement Award by the Grammy Academy.
They are truly a band that Germany can be proud of.
Enjoy Kraftwerk's 1983 12-inch single "Tour de France," a song that, as a cyclist, is near and dear to my heart:

@teamfreak16 I haven't heard the album, but it made the singles chart in the 70s

This one of the most famous and influential electronic bands ever. HOF consideration for that.

I'm totally shocked that these guys are on the list.

Seriously, you can't think of German bands without them.
