I kept running into discussions on burgers the past week or so and each time I was reminded of this picture... I took a picture of the burger I had a while ago... It was prepared by my husband, and let me tell you, it was as delicious as it looked there...
I have tried many different burger places and many of them serve very nice burgers... In-n-Out will always be my favorite burgers and some restaurants down here also have gourmet burgers on their menus... But each time my husband cooks his own burgers, he always manage to convince me that his is simply the best burgers around...
He makes his own patties from scratch... Not sure which recipe he follows, but they always smell delicious when he grills them and come out very juicy... And best thing about homemade burgers, we can have them any which way we'd like to with any garnishing we prefer...

Is that cheese or onions (or both?) When we make it at home, we do nothing but shape the meat into patties and slap 'em on the pan. And you're right, we can garnish them however we want. You know it'll be absolutely fresh and a whole lot cheaper!!

@sishy7 Yum! I do like a tasty burger that is "different" . . . I wonder what he puts in it (or is it a secret ). I used to put fresh bread cubes in it with other stuff . . . but then I guess I got lazy . I've been liking avocado on mine lately!

Yeah, both... grilled onions and shredded cheese... I could have used sliced cheddar cheese, but I didn't have any at the time... I don't know what he did with the meat, but there were definitely some spices went into the ground meat before he shaped them into patties...

I've only been to In N Out once, in California. I really liked it.

I also make my own burgers. I only eat them fried in a pan. We use a big cut of meat and chicken pieces for barbecues.

@sishy7 I ate vey good burgers when we went to Aruba. It was a restaurant by the pool and not a fast food chain. Still, mine are better

@marguicha Of course, because you know exactly what goes in your own home made burgers...

Yeah, that does look mighty tasty, sishy!
Uhm.... is that shredded onions on the burger? Or something else?
I usually mince onions and mix them into the burger meat. (That was the only way I could get Pretty to eat onions for the longest time! LOL!) Now it doesn't matter, she eats onions in/on everything we cook!
We usually don't put salad on our burgers, just mayo and ketchup with a slice of cheese under the burger patty. (Yes, we just call the lettuce, pickles and whatever a salad when we are eating burgers. LOL!)

We enjoy homemade burgers too, but we'll get ones frozen from our store and they're called restaurant burgers. They are quite tasty too. I'm guessing there may be a bit of sugar in them for they are so good, but maybe not. Maybe the cut of meat is better than others, I don't know. I'll see if I can find an image, which I shared on bubblews previously, but will have to hunt for it first.

Ooh... yes, I've seen something like that in the frozen section down here too but I have never tried to buy some... I imagine those are what people use when they have a barbecue party or something... They're not only tasty but convenient too...

@sishy7 We use them just for ourselves. We keep them frozen and only take out what we need for a meal.

What is it about burgers? hmmm Well, my favorite is made from black bean. It's one of the only non meat foods my kids will eat without griping. I've never tried grilling them though.

@sishy7 I tried to make avocado burger before. It was a failure. I may give it another try.

Idk... It's just that I noticed many discussions about them... And to the right of this one we can see few of them under 'You Might Also Like' list...
Oh, I've never had one made from black bean, sounds delicious if your kids like them... I heard of non-meat patty made from avocados though...
