She said it and I believe it! "I want to make people cry even when they don't understand my words." Edith Piaf I love singing and I love to listen to the music made by Edith Piaf. Did you know that so many of the Famous people of the world are resting in the Cimetière du Père Lachaise? They chose to be put to rest their because each one in their own life fell in love with the city of Paris - and why not, its most definitely the city to visit in a lifetime. "Founded in 1804, the cemetery houses so many famous people that the place has become something of a pilgrim destination." I myself walked the narrow lanes in the cemetery see what the fuss was all about and let me tell you, it was a most amazing experience ever. Who would think such would be a tourist attraction - but so it is. "Among the famous people buried there are Peter Abelard and Héloïse, Molière, Eugène Delacroix, Jacques-Louis David, Georges Bizet, Frédéric Chopin, Honoré de Balzac, Marcel Proust, Georges Seurat, Oscar Wilde, Sarah Bernhardt, Isadora Duncan, Gertrude Stein, Colette, Edith Piaf, Marcel Marceau." The walk is exhausting therefore take a bottle of water and make sure that you have very comfy shoes on your feet. My photo of the Cimetière du Père Lachaise
