Do you read books one at a time?

I'm always curious about people's reading habits. I know some people like to read books one at a time, meaning they'll finish one book before starting another. While other people tend to read multiple books at once. With me, I read multiple books at once. I like to read one paperback and one ebook. It can get confusing if you're reading multiple books, but that's the way I read. What about you? Do you read multiple books at once or just one at a time?

@Marty1 The book is about FDR's secret prisoner exchange program and the only family internment camp in the U.S.

@shubhu3 It can get confusing at times reading multiple books, especially if it's the same genre.

I am terrible and read several books at a time. I usually have a couple on the go on my ebook and at least one real book. Years ago, I would also have been studying textbooks. I am really lucky I have a fair memory! I like to swap between history, Sci Fi and detective books depending on my mood

Usually, I read one at time. When I start a new one, I won't leave it until coming to the end of the history.

@dramagirl26 In my case, I believe that if I read one after another, I read faster than if I read them at the same time.

@Meramar I used to read them one at a time, but I have so much to read that I decided to read multiple books at once.

It depends on the number of pages and the kind of book. For novels that are much. i read one at a time. For academic books though i can read more than one.

@minders1 You make a good point. I sometimes base how many books I read on the book's length.

@skysnap Some days I only get to read one book, while others I can read multiples. Like you said it depends on the mood.

One at a time. For some reason I can watch multiple shows at a time, but I can't read more than one book at a time.
