Productive Day

Everything went well today, starting in the pool, I put in my usual two hours, but I'm doing much better in the water, got more swimming strokes in instead of just treading water for two hours I also found my knees limber enough to climb the stairs normally instead of one stepping it as I usually do A step on the scale showed no weight loss, no gain, but I am maintaining So all good in the pool.
That was followed with picking my son up to take him where he needed to go including DMV where he passed his driving test and is now a legal driver This makes me very happy.
After DMV we went to fast food - Okay it's the first time in over a week, so I'm doing good still with my diet. From there we went to Best Buy where I found and purchased my new TV an LG 50". It's not set up yet, but will be soon.
I also got the 7 out of 7 Daily Goals on Swagbucks. It took a long time to find a survey to complete, but finally did
Now I'm here with you for the rest of the night, at least until my eyelids start to close. Since my son has off I won't be rushing off to bed, but he does have class early in the morning, about the time I go to the pool, so he will be back - he has the car - tomorrow morning to pick me up for the pool before he goes to class.
So let's see how much I can accomplish today. I hope you all have had a good day and I'm looking forward to reading all about what you have been up to.
Thanks for reading.

@MarshaMusselman I'm not sure what swag codes are. I have tried the surveys and like you, I never qualify for them. so I just gave up. There times when I will watch videos.

I will catch a few swag codes some days when I'm online, but have yet to qualify for any of the surveys. I've about given up on those. Have you done any of the swag codes, Sharon? You can get a button for your browser and it will put up a notice when there's one available. I have the button on my chrome browser, but I miss out when using firefox. Probably there's a button for that one too, but I've never checked.

@simone10 It depends on the surveys. It's hard to qualify for them. I worked on the Daily's a couple days ago and finally got all of them, but took forever. As soon as my life is back to normal - all the unpacking done - I will be back to Swagbucks every day. I did manage to payout in August. I accumulate 5000 points before I pay out. I'm already over a thousand, so I've got a good start on the next payout.

@Eitchy At first it was hard to get started. That was three years ago. I started blogging on another site before it closed down last year. I had never blogged before, so knowing what to blog about was hard at first and took a bit to get really started. However, I started writing what I knew, and that's what everyone who writes will tell you.
I am an experienced writer. I've been writing most of my life and published my first novel in 2012.
One thing about blogging is to give the person who reads what you write something to comment on. It is very difficult to comment on a statement, one sentence, or something that doesn't cause interaction with your audience. You want interaction. That is where you will make your pennies.

yay for him passing, and I'd like to note that muscle weights more than fat, so as you gain muscle and lose fat you wont see the #s go down as fast

@just4him I usually get stuck there for a bit for a week or two, then start dropping again, swimming would be fun if I had a pool access

@Jessicalynnt Is there any way you can get pool access? I'm still dropping and very happy about that.

How far is it to the pool from your new place? I thought it was just around the corner, but I know some apartment complexes are huge. Good thing your son now has his license so you can be in the pool while he's in class it sounds like.
I've been practicing the stairs too walking up them normally. I can only do that so far when there are rails on both sides or if I have a cane in one hand while holding on with the other. I can tell it's working my quads walking up the stairs in that fashion and so I keep trying each day. I'd like to to go work early enough to walk the stairs a few times before my shift begins, but I've not made it early enough yet.
It takes time for new exercise regimes to kick in and change the scale, and oftentimes we're gaining a bit of muscle while losing fat tissue and muscle weighs more than fat. But once you begin to lose it begins to melt off more easily. Good luck being patient with that.

@just4him I thought you had a pool in your complex, that's why I didn't understand why your son had to drive you there. Glad you are still able to go and use their facilities.

@MarshaMusselman The first place I looked at when looking for apartments had a pool, but not this one. I got a one year membership in July, so I make certain I go every day or as often as possible and it's paying off. I'm losing the weight I need to and I'm very happy about that.

Patience isn't something I'm good at. I'm glad it's getting easier for you to walk up the stairs.
Today I left my cane at home on purpose. I've been using it less and less the last few days, and with my ribs hurting the way they do, leaning on the cane, hurts more, so I left it home when I went to the pool this morning and it was great without it.
As for distance to the pool, it's about ten minutes. I haven't paid attention to the mileage, but the YWCA is almost in the center of downtown and I'm a bit away from that now that I've moved.
