Be the first on your block to get an LED lighted toilet seat

There was an ad in the stack of things that comes with my Sunday newspaper advertising a “motion activated toilet night light.” It is called the “Illumibowl” and even had a video link to show how it works. There are eight different colors to choose from or you can even rotate them.
I searched the name and found a video showing the lighted toilet. It attaches to the side of the bowl and, indeed is even a motion activated nightlight so there should be no “near misses” or bumped shins.
If the lighted bowl is a step too far for you, you can always opt for a padded orange and white smiley face toilet seat.
This is probably just one of the advances in the seat of our civilization.

Nor am I. Who thinks these "innovations" up?

@JamesHxstatic I think maybe a woman thought of this one.

Might be good for homes with potty training children. Give the the thrill of going potty in the dark, or in different colors. I don't know. As a 30-something year old woman I just don't think I need a glow in the dark toilet bowl.

Those things are hilarious! I've seen them on tv commercials. I mean, it's one of those ideas that look good on paper, if you know what I mean.

I'm sure it did. Now it sells for $15.

I think I saw that on Shark Tank. No thanks. I need the room lighted so I don't trip over something not the potty. I don't have to aim.

Very funny and I think I'll pass on the colors and the smiley face too. Thanks for the laugh. I keep a night light in my bathroom. What will they come up with next?

It is hard to say, but zany inventions are pretty funny.

I think I was the first on my block to get a LED light bulb–but not a LED toilet seat.

@JamesHxstatic That may be, but I really do not have a desire to own a LED lit toilet seat. Do they make one that will flash the lights to the tune of music?

@Ronrybs Now that is a good question.

@JamesHxstatic It makes you wonder if we are approaching 'peak invention' and from now on it will be just variations on a theme?

Hi James. It is this picture of yours in this discussion that attracted me. Do you know why? This building is located about one hour and a half from where I live. It is in fact a hotel sitting on the lake. I have been there a few times with my family in our car and we like to walk by the side of the lake with the lake wave rushing to the bank getting our shoes wet if we do not try to avoid the coming wave. It is a good place for relaxation.

Very interesting! When I searched on Pixabay for pictures of toilet seats, this came up, due to its shape apparently. It is an amazing looking hotel, but I wonder what would happen in an earthquake? How old is the building?

@JamesHxstatic It was built in 2010, so it has only a history of six years old.
