I’m So Sad

The first week in my endeavor to build a Twitter following I was shocked to see someone special I know of, but have never met, followed me. I was sent an email telling me so. I didn’t believe it at first, so I checked it out. It was, in fact, his account.
He always posts the most interesting things. I love his pictures of objects in space (he’s a scientist after all). Although I was a foreign language teacher most of my life, I grew up around the space program. My father worked at North American Aviation when they broke the sound barrier, and later when they became Rockwell International and sent people to the moon.
I even applied for the Teacher in Space Program. I was one of 10,000 applicants of the 50,000 who had initially requested applications. You know I didn’t win, because the teacher who did died in the tragic explosion. It was surreal seeing that happen, knowing it could have been me.
But why am I sad today? My Twitter friend’s account has been suspended. I’m sure he did nothing wrong. It must have been hacked. He’s outrageously famous (don’t ask, I won’t tell), so I guess it’s to be expected. I miss his tweets. I hope Twitter is able to get him back up and tweeting soon, and I hope he still follows me. I’ll follow him again, as he adds lots of fascinating information to my day.
Do you have a five degrees of separation story?

Yes, we live on different planets, so to speak.

@JudyEv Cute. He's so smart, it must be him. I'm just your garden variety human.

@ElizabethWallace It was a long time that I did not check into my account, I just checked to be sure it's still there.

I hope so. I miss his thoughtful posts about science stuff. He often posts pictures of object off in space. Lovely.

No. It's another computer annoyance I need to tackle. One thing at a time, or my head will explode.

We are rumored to be related to Elvis through his mama.

Probably. Everyone in the south is related, I think. I spotted a relative on TV once, by the bushy eyebrows, cleft chin and last name. My then husband ridiculed my idea, until I wrote a letter and found out I was right. Ha Ha.

Me neither, but they are necessary if I am to sell my book.

Nope. He's not a friend actually. Never met him, he's just a spectacular human being and well known to the public due to his genius.

Hmm... the only 'famous' person who follows me on twitter is an actor in a big tv show. (The show is really big. His character was introduced at the end of last season, and may or may not be more prominent this coming season.)
Not that I'm anything special... it seems he follows a lot of fans. Good move on his part, actually. Very good promotion. Haha. Lots of people love him now because of that.
Anyway, it is nice to have some known person (with a blue check on his twitter) following you. Haha. And it's nice, too, when they seem really nice and engaging.
It would be even more awesome if it's a scientist following you! I do hope his suspension gets lifted.

If I have such a story, I am not aware of it. I hope his account reappears.

That is so weird that Twitter suspended his account. It must have been some type of mistake. We'll have to watch and see if he is back on soon!
