Durga pujo

I live in kolkata and I'm a bengali. So we've this festival called "Durga pujo" which is basically about worshipping Maa Durga (Goddess Durga). The celebrations lasts about a week. It's the most important Bengal festival. Numerous mandaps with idols of the deity along with her two sons and daughters, the deity slaughtering the Buffalo-demon (yup, Buffalo-demon it is, the mythology is pretty elaborate). The mandaps are huge, so is the crowd visiting. Now, this is the funny part : To manage this crowd Kolkata Police has given out a notice saying "takin selfies inside the mandap and selfies in front of the idol is not allowed as that will aggravate the crowd". Also in the major mandaps there would be "selfie taking zones". I've been laughing over this since morning.....I mean whattttttt????? I have no idea how to react to this. LOL
