Ever Wanted To Throw Your Modem At the Wall?

I am so f!@#$%! mad right now. My connection has been crappy since last evening. I go to write something to you guys and hit "reply" and it just sits there, then I disconnect. ARGH! So my question is: do you sometimes feel violent over internet connections issues? What chill pill do you suggest? MUST I pick up a book or cook a meal or do something without the internet?

I have wanted to smash my phone, tablet, and laptop at various times. Writers on TV and in movies never have connect problems.

Luckily, I've not a major problem since I got broadband. I was regularly cursing the old dial up connection

OH man, I had dial up a lot longer than most people. This area is so slow to do anything, we aren't terribly rural but we're outside the town limits and I don't think our needs take priority. I kinda take that back, because firefighters just totally saved our homes. But when it comes to technology and updating equipment, it goes slow For a long time. I would join sites and have to get special browsers to block all the imges and such because they wouldn't load. So glad to not have to have dial up anymore. I think my internet connection issue is gone now. Maybe all I had to do was gripe here at myLot, lol.

Take a deep breath and walk away from the computer..lol You wouldn't want to do something you would later regret..lol It happens to me all the time time. Computers are great when they are working well but they can also be a pain in the butt too. lol

I have those feelings once in a while! I have thought sometimes that I should have a pushing ball or maybe a dozen of eggs to throw agains the wall at those times. But then I think that maybe I would then repent or, worse still, I would have to clean the wall.

Sorry you are having this issue, that would annoy me too. If the problem was the modem, I would just call Time Warner because it is their problem to fix. I know some people buy their own modem, but then if something goes wrong and I don't have extra money to buy another, I would have to wait.

I had trouble today. I got on myLot and it was like a foreign country. I thought it had been hacked. Then I got a notice to restart to finish installing updates. After all that was done, it worked better than ever. Restart and see if that helps. Clear your cache and browsing history first and then restart. Can't hurt, might help.

I occasionally have to walk off and do something else - usually it's housework as I don't do a lot when myLot is buzzing! :)

Most annoying time when you want to do more and your internet is not cooperating, yes I want to smash my wifi in the wall because of this. But what can we do, we are just the person who patiently wait for the good mood of the service providers.

Yes. The wifi at my school is always bad and barely works. Some of the professor think we are lying when we tell them we can't turn in homework/papers/projects because the wifi always seems to be out. I have had the wifi go out during the middle of a timed quiz that I ended up with a zero on because I couldn't finish it and on my professors end it just looked like I didn't submit it.

YES!!!! several times a day.It seems to have a life of it's own and starts playing up,especially when I have a timeline.I think I own my salt and pepper to poor connectivity. Check if you have this problem at approx the same time everyday. If so,you could try using the net at a different time.

i only get cranky when the puter 'tself malfunctions. then i threaten to either take 't fer a swim (aka: toss't out'n the pond) 'r out'n the pasture fer the horses to play with. the net schtuff only bothers me when customer support 'tis 'f no help 'n 'tis not workin' fer days. i demand a refund 'f those days :) my 'chill pill' 'tis to go outdoors 'n enjoy mother natures wondrous gifts. takin' a book 'long helps sometimes, too.

i did it. Time and again it was troubling me. I got angry and broke it. I just threw it out of the house. In the meanwhile, a vehicle passed over it. The end came nicely.
