I've just read the book "Organ Hunters'' by Gordon Thomas.
What an unique topic, and such an interesting plot. Clearly Thomas has done meticulous research, and his findings at the back of the book are very disturbing.
It is based on the fact that there are some doctors who are willing to trade in human organs, just because there are rich people who can afford to pay extravagant sums for it. It is all about the way that money has to corrupt human nature.
Then there are also well organised syndicates that target people and hunt them down for their organs, selling it at outrageous prices, almost the value of gold.
If you read the info on the link below, you will see that this sad industry is a reality all over the world. So be careful and aware of real danger, even if this is the first time you hear about it.
Here was a recent case in China mentioned where kidneys were bought from people who received 3,000 Euros for their organ, while the doctors sold it for 24,000.
Is it right if the poor parents of a dying baby are offered money for the organs, so that it can be sold for high prices?

Many thanks for that information Michael. Can you tell us a bit more about the film please? Could be very interesting to hear how far people would be willing to go for money.
