I remember when I was growing up and even in some of my early adult years enjoying playing board games.
I particularly liked playing the games of Life, Monopoly, and Scrabble. When I was really young I liked playing Sorry and Hungry Hungry Hippos!
Did you ever have any favorite board games when you were growing up? Are there any games you still enjoy playing now?
Some of my friends play a game called Cards Against Humanity - I will have to try it with them some time.

@jennyjoy Yes, there is a scrabble app and also a game called Words with Friends which I believe you can play on Facebook or an app on your phone.

I liked Scrabble. When I had no one to play with, I even played by myself just pretending there was another player while it was just me working on both sets of tiles... Nowadays everything is electronic - any games can be played online and physical board games become obsolete...

It's been a few months now since we played anything... I'm kind of missing our weekly games!! I really need to win at least once on Monopoly... I've come close once... maybe the next time!!

@MissNikki Yeah I believe it is actually. It was scary for me when I was younger but now it just makes me laugh.

Playing board games on rainy days or days when it was really cold and we were huddled around the fire are one of my cherished childhood memories. We played cards, for matchsticks not money, drafts, monopoly. The times we shared with each other arguing, cheating(for fun) laughing can't be had today.
thankfully some eateries are reviving these games by offering them to you while you wait for your order. It beats staring into your mobile and ignoring the person sitting next to you, after all you have gone out for a meal together.
