why can you only sleep 4 hours every day? is your shift more than 8 hours? is it your travel time too long? do you have to do chores first? in other words, why are you short of time?
how do you stay awake and alert so you don't make mistakes while you're at work?

@jembizz21 i see. in that case, the most you can do is nap when and where you can. some drink coffee and energy drinks, but i think there's a tendency to overdo it. also maybe take a multivitamin every day.

Well, i use to help my wife taking care of our 3 kids. My eldest and second child is studying in elementary, I'm the one who brings them at school. Our youngest child is a 1 year old baby boy. He's so energetic that you can't just leave unattended. After all those stuffs and some errands thats the time i could sleep. During work i have some sleepy moments but still manageable.

I suppose you are in BPO , that's why you have a graveyard shift .
Well, as long as you feel okay with having four hours of sleep , don't feel anything abnormal , then 4 hours is good for you then .

Yes, I'm actually working in a BPO. Well I just don't feel anything unusual until now except from occasional sleepiness at work. Are you working too in a BPO?

@jembizz21 No . I have my full time job - 8 :00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. work , Mondays to Fridays .
Whenever i have finished auditing documents , vouchers and the like , i peek in here because my laptop is always open in front of me , in my table.

Well, I hope you don't mind my comment, but I guess having four hours of sleep everyday may not be good in the long run. The body needs to rest. Young people may not find the effect right away, but as we grow old, then the problem begins. Perhaps you should try taking a nap from time to time just to add some hours of your sleep.

Believe me. It is not enough for us. Please spend more time to sleep. We have atleast 6 to 7 hours sleep. There is lot of side effects like mental illness, algiemrs, diabetes etc. Ofcourse its may effect on our life span. It is fact.

Not getting enough sleep is a pain. So what we can actually do to optimize our sleeping habits to new heights and sleep our way to success? Here are some of my suggestions; Start napping every day. The core benefits of napping are that you can restore alertness of your brain with just a few minutes of falling into light sleep. Develop a sleep ritual. When it comes to creating a sleep ritual, one of the key things is to have the last activity completely disengage you from the tasks of the rest of your day. I hope this helps.
