I'm always like that, listening to music while writing or reading. It boost my mind and my feelings to do more. It pushes me to be active.

I do not like to listen to music while studying or reading a book. Not concentrate and get tired very unnecessary.

Yes, some gentle soothing music while reading is great. It helps me concentrate better and relaxes my brain as well!

Yay !
Rhythm is the key ! it's like when we were kids and we wanted to listen to this particular story or kids' song over and over again. The memory is more efficient when rhythm & repetition are given.
Of course it depends also on your type of "memory" : visual, audio, mouvement, space, smell, touch ... and it will work even beter with Audio, space and mouvement memory types.
You should try out classical music too : it's more efficient than any modern music!
Mozart, Beethoven, Vivaldi, ... the great ones of the past created such wonderful music that it is used to help kids with concentration & memory problems, in psychotherapy and also in job environnements where the mind's focus is most needed.
The science of music is called "musicology" or "musicotherapy" (Dr. Tomatis was one of the pioniers to use music as a complete therapy support) and it's very interesting to discover.
