I'm from India (State - Madhya Pradesh, District - Seoni aka Mogli Land). Like I've notions about other countries based on what I've heard, seen (on news, internet and movies) and read. You (non-Indian) might also have positive, negative and neutral views on what India is, what this is known for, how the cultures and people are here and so on... Share your views, I'll try to answer if anyone has any special question to ask.

Great geographical diversity and many languages. A land of opportunity for many but also a land of no opportunity for many.

Language is one of the major diversity. As a matter of fact India has 122 major languages and 1599 other languages. Most of the 1599 are on the verge of extinctions. Some 100 plus among these are spoken by couple of hundred people only.
